About us

María José Posada, founder of Posada Legal, holds a law degree from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia University in New York, and a Diploma in Taxation from the Centro de Estudios Tributarios de Antioquia.

She is admitted to practice law in Colombia and in the State of New York.

Her practice focuses on commercial, corporate and real estate law, and includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial due diligence, and the drafting and negotiation of share or asset purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, secured transactions and commercial trusts.

Legal advice is provided exclusively on Colombian law. When a matter involves another jurisdiction, that part is handled by a lawyer admitted to practice there, with whom the work is coordinated.

Services are provided bilingually, in English and Spanish.
